Some FAQs about RT
(Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: What's different about Reformation Today?

A: Reformation Today has been created by confessional Lutherans within the LCMS who believe that the status quo must change and that this change can only come about through the faithful and deliberate proclamation of the law and gospel, and the application of our biblical and confessional doctrine in the life of our synod. Reformation Today seeks to advance a patient, yet deliberate practice of Evangelical theology and to foster a spirit of true unity and mutual care for one another.

Reformation Today is an independent publication. At times our contributors may even disagree somewhat in their analysis of issues and in their suggestions for remedies. However, Reformation Today believes that through the intentional proclamation of God's law and gospel and loving admonition, it is possible to forge out of the present chaos and lack of discipline, a church body where the undershepherds of Christ serve their Lord faithfully among lay people who contribute to the work of the church as full partners in the gospel, each according to vocation.

We certainly acknowledge that there will be no outwardly perfect church body or synod on this side of heaven. But if you believe that the time has come to end the partisan politics, closed door dealings, straw man arguments, and abuse of power in favor of an approach based on Holy Scripture, the Lutheran Confessions, and Christian charity, we invite you to add your name to the growing number of Reformation Today supporters.  RT is centered in catechesis and a truthful and direct manner of dealing with critical issues in the Lutheran church today.

Q: How is Reformation Today funded?

A: Right now Reformation Today is completely funded by donations to cover the printing and postage costs of our print newsletter and other minor expenses associated with our website. In the future we may organize conferences to discuss various issues in the church today.   We welcome your donations to defray costs of running our web page and printing and mailing our print issues.

Q: How can I contribute financially to Reformation Today?

A: You can do so by contacting us a rnss91@sbcglobal.net or by writing us at the address at the top of this page for more information. Donations are not tax detuctible at this time. We are grateful for any donations to assist in our printing and postage costs or to help expand what we are able to do.

Q: Can I contribute articles for the web page or print edition?

A: Guest contributions to Reformation Today are very welcome and will receive due consideration by our editorial board. Please send them to either our e-mail or standard mail address. Please keep articles to 3 pages or less. Lutheran pastors, laity, and professors are welcomed to write for RT.
