Three Walls Preventing Reform
"That They May Be One": A Scriptural and Confessional Statement Concerning Church Fellowship and Prayer - a significant statement adopted by several Northern Illinois pastors on December 20, 2001 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Lockport, IL. Hundreds have already subscribed to it.
The Keller Resolution -- On January 13, 2002, a group of confessional Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod (LCMS) pastors and laymen met at Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller, Texas, to discuss the recent practice of unionism (joint worship with Christians who disagree on doctrinal matters) and syncretism (joint worship with people of other religions) at the highest levels of the LCMS leadership. This group drafted a resolution, now referred to as The Keller Resolution, and asked that each representative present it for ratification to their congregational voter's assembly. Other congregations are in the process of joining them.
